Accessibility statement

OL wants everyone to be able to read, understand and use this website — including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion settings. Accessibility is treated as part of the design work, not an afterthought.

This site is built with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as its target. That is a stated aim rather than a certification: no independent audit has been carried out, so some criteria may not yet be fully met.

• Semantic HTML structure with landmarks and a single main heading per page.
• Full keyboard navigation, with visible focus states on links, buttons and inputs.
• Form fields with permanently visible, programmatically associated labels.
• Accessible names on icon-only controls such as the menu and social links.
• Text and interface colours chosen for contrast against their backgrounds.
• Decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.
• Responsive layout that reflows down to small screens and supports zoom.

Some areas may still fall short: motion on scroll-reveal animations, third-party embedded content that OL does not control, and pages that have not yet been tested with every screen reader and browser combination. These are being worked through over time.
